Manufacturing Wood Cutting Tools with Autodesk Fusion 360 with Autodesk PowerMill

Manufacturing Wood Cutting Tools with Autodesk Fusion 360 with Autodesk PowerMill

Customer challenge

Mefsan Tools company produces various type of woodcutting tools for woodworking and other industries. They established in 2021 and based in Ankara, Turkey. For a while, this young company looked for an advanced manufacturing solution for their production demands.

Most of their parts were very complicated and should be machined within a tight tolerance and precision. Also the software they purchased should include both turning and milling capabilities.

Project goals

Main goal of the company was to produce complex shaped tools with a high precision which could not be easily handled by the most of the CAM software found in the market.

Currently, company has only a 4axis rotary machine and all their production should be done by using Autodesk PowerMill's Standart version  capabilities.

Solution

Autodesk Fusion 360 with Autodesk PowerMill was a great solution for the company and offered them high efficiency together with easy usage. The combination of Autodesk Fusion 360 and Autodesk PowerMill has made a big difference for both turning and milling processes without problems. After software trainings given by OguSoft Teknoloji staffs, Mefsan Tool's CAM programmers were ready to create toolpaths for producing their various types of tools.

Business outcome

By the knowledge gained by the customer trainings, now the company could produce every kind of woodcutting tools found in the market which was a big challenge for them previously.

Conclusion
