Belectric Photovoltaic is a leading solar projects services firm with HQ in Germany and a business setup for over 10 years in India for local projects. The India office has been doing domestic and overseas Projects for design, delivering high end solar project plants with well experienced in-house teams. While using Autodesk Civil 3D (recent version), they wanted to explore Civil 3D capabilities further with technical help from Genesis Infoserve Pvt. Ltd. to make better use of tools within Civil 3D.

Project goals

The goal was to do a workshop on Autodesk Civil 3D with Belectric India users and provide them with a solution for better productivity using a part of their dataset.

Solution

Genesis Infoserve introduced them to the value in using feature lines in place of polylines, using Dynamo for Civil 3D to identify feature lines violating slope criteria, and showed use of grading tools and volume balance for maximum cut.

Business outcome

The targeted training has benefited Belectric Photovoltaic in getting properly detailed accurate surfaces for internal reviews and producing far more effective client presentations.

Conclusion

Belectric India users are now able to design, grade and deliver Civil 3D projects faster, and with better precision.
