Autodesk Solution Provider UnoTEAM was contacted to optimise the current method of project execution in PI industries.
UnoTEAM has then suggested creation of symbols for all the equipment that are currently used by the design department of PI Industries so that these parts are now standardised and future inconsistencies in designs due to layouts changing hands will not occur at a micro level.
This involved the creation of symbol families in both the tools: AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD P & ID, and creating an optimised process of accessing data so that the minimum amount of data is exposed to prevent any project data from producing any results that are not desirable.
All of the created symbols were then tagged by UnoTEAM to provide a metric of standard for the design department of PI Industries. This is an essential part of any project.
Standard reporting templates were also created allowing them the ability to access reports with the details of the current project.
UnoTEAM has also provided training to the department responsible for using the newly optimised workflow. UnoTEAM hand-held PI Industries through the entire project helping them understand the changes in the deployed workflow.
