How to set up and configure the Advance Steel SQL databases on a server to be shared with other users within the network.

Important notes:

Starting with the 2024 release, Advance Steel is designed to work with SQL 2019 databases.
For versions 2018 - 2023, Advance Steel is designed to work with SQL 2014 SP(1/3) databases.

Notes:

There is no need or benefit to share all the Advance Steel databases. Several databases are not supposed to be modified. For example, AstorDetails.MDF database, containing the detail styles and detail processes from "Advance" branch, cannot be changed within Advance Steel interface. All users have the same databases anyway. Consider sharing the database on "as needed" basis.
For easier management, consider creating separate instances for each Advance Steel version.
Starting with 2021 release, Advance Steel supports all SQL Server Editions:
