Arnold Plug-in DLL and MAXScript Auto-load errors received when opening 3ds Max

Issue:

When starting 3ds Max, the program encounters several Plug-in DLL and MAXScript Auto-load errors related to Arnold features.

Causes:

  1. MAXtoA plugin has not been installed properly.
  2. The machine is using an unsupported CPU for Arnold.

Solution:

The solution may require one, or a combination of the following:
 

Reinstall the MAXtoA plugin:

  1. Uninstall MAXtoA from the Windows Control Panel:
    MAXtoA.jpg
  2. Download and install the most recent version of MAXtoA from the Solid Angle downloads page.



Verify that the CPU on the machine supports Arnold.

Reset 3ds Max
