Issue:

After installing the Windows 10 Creators Update , Autodesk software does not launch. The software launched and functioned properly prior to the update.

Causes:

This is due to an issue with the Microsoft .NET Framework as addressed in the following: "COMException" error from WPF applications after the .NET Framework 4.7 is installed on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

Solution:

Do one or more of the following:
The .NET Framework 4.7.1 was released on October 17, 2017.  This update has resolved the issue for some where we’ve been seeing with AutoCAD software breaking on Windows 7-10 with the .NET 4.7 install. The same update is included in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.  If the solutions previously mentioned do not resolve the issue, use the following strategies: For installation problems with Autodesk products after having the Creators Update installed, modify the installer setup to exclude .NET:  Install .NET Framework Language Pack Failed Installation aborted, Result=1603
