Issue:

Are Autodesk products supported with Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN) devices?

Solution:

Third Party NAS and SAN devices bring many advantages to a business. Many Autodesk customers are using SAN and NAS devices successfully with our software.

However, the number of these devices on the market is growing daily. For this reason, it is not possible for Autodesk to test and certify each one as supported or recommended. Autodesk can offer no advice or guidance on how to configure these devices for use with its software.

If an application or performance issue were to arise in the use of these devices, Autodesk Support may ask if the problem can be reproduced with conventional storage technologies instead. If a problem occurs only when using a third party SAN or NAS device, Autodesk Support may ask that you contact the third parties support organization to resolve the issue.
