Issue:

Network requirements when using Revit file based worksharing across an Internet connection (WAN).

Solution:

File based worksharing is not designed for use on a WAN. Instead it was designed for a LAN environment. As a result there are no guidelines or recommendations for network connections in this environment.
Note: As Latency increases (with physical distance) there will be increased potential for operation failures, and resulting central model corruption.
