Issue:

How to perform a clean uninstall of Autodesk programs on macOS.

Environment:

macOS.

Solution:

To remove all Autodesk software from your macOS, do the following:

  1. Uninstalling all the Autodesk software you have installed by using the "Remove..." application.

(Alternatively, by right-clicking the program and choosing Move to Trash).

  1. Click 'Go' in the Finder menu bar.
  2. Select "Computer" and navigate to the following files and folders to remove them:
    • /Library/Application Support/Autodesk.
    • com.autodesk.adskaccessservicehost.plist and com.autodesk.AdskLicensingService.plist in /Library/LaunchDaemons.
    • /Library/Logs/Autodesk.
  3. Click 'Go' in the Finder menu bar, and hold down the 'Option' (Alt) key.
  4. The Library entry should now appear in the Finder > Go menu.
  5. Click Library directly opens the hidden User Library folder in a new Finder window.
  6. Navigate the following files and folders and remove them:
    • /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/AdSSO-v2.
    • /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk.
    • /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk Installer.
    • /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/Autodesk.
    • /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/Autodesk Installer.
    • All the com.autodesk.* files in /Users/<username>/Library/Logs.
    • All the com.autodesk.* files in /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences.
  7. Reboot the system.
