Issue:

A list of Cloud Rendering services available for use with 3ds Max, Maya and the Arnold render engine.

Environment:

Arnold Cloud Rendering or Render Farm platforms.

Solution:

At this time, Autodesk does not offer an in-house Cloud Rendering or Render Farm service that supports 3ds Max and Maya for use with Arnold, and MAXtoA and MtoA respectively.

However, with Cloud Rights, users can utilize the following Cloud Rendering services with 3ds Max Batch and Maya Batch with Arnold:

The following render farms support non-Batch Cloud Rendering using 3ds Max and Maya with Arnold:

Note: For 3ds Max cloud rendering with Arnold, check with the preceding render farm services' online documentation or technical support personnel to see if they offer direct 3ds Max scene support. If the render farm machines use the Linux operating system (which 3ds Max does not support), then 3ds Max users will have to upload their scenes as Arnold Scene Source (.ASS) files instead.

Compressed Arnold Scene Source files (.ASS.GZ) should work as well.

Note: In the Autodesk Account, Flex tokens and Cloud credits allow still image rendering only from 3ds Max via the Autodesk Rendering , and access to Autodesk Character Generator content. However, these services are separate from the 3rd-party Arnold Cloud rendering services in the preceding list. Arnold- or Autodesk Ray Tracer (ART)-based scenes cannot be rendered with the Autodesk Rendering still image renderer.

Products:

3ds Max; Maya; Arnold;
