Issue:

Users reported that on specific drawings, activating any command (such as LINE, RECTANGLE, etc.) causes the cursor to stutter, jump, and overall to not move smoothly.
  • The drawing contains a large amount of 3D data alongside 2D data.

Solution:

Do any of the following:
  • Turn off any OSNAPs.
  • Separate 2D and 3D data.
    1. Activate the global UCS.
    2. Switch to a side 3D view, such as Front, Back, Left, or Right.
    3. Select all data not contained within the XY plane (3D data).
    4. Type WBLOCK and press Enter.
    5. Choose the Delete from drawing option.
    6. Save the data to a new drawing.
    7. Insert the 3D data as an Xref in the original drawing.
    8. When editing the 2D data, either:
      • Unload the Xref from the Xref palette.
      • Turn off and freeze all Xref layers.
