Issue:

How to associate the DWG file type with AutoCAD in macOS.

Environment:

macOS.

Solution:

To associate DWG files with AutoCAD for Mac:
  1. In Finder, right-click any DWG file (or CTRL-click) and choose Get Info.
  2. In the pull-down menu under the Open With: section, select the desired AutoCAD program.
  3. Click the Change All button.
  4. Click Continue.
Alternatively, as a one-time option:
  1. In Finder, right-click any DWG file (or CTRL-click) and go to Open With.
  2. Select the desired AutoCAD program.
