Users reported that when working in Revit (saving, opening, synchronizing files, reloading links), the following message appears:
Revit
Encountered a sharing violation while accessing [path]\[file name].[extension]
Also:
…Save exception "<unknown>", code=<unknown>: Encountered a sharing violation while accessing C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp\[path]\[filename].[extension] …TaskDialog "Encountered a sharing violation while accessing C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp\[path]\[filename].[extension]
Revit is being blocked from accessing the file referenced in the journal.
This could occur due to:
Check that your user account has Full Control for the folders referenced in the journal. If not sure how to do this, work with your IT/Computer support.
Disable the antivirus software on the system completely and try saving the data again
If saving is possible with antivirus software disabled:
Check for antivirus software updates
If the error continues with the latest updates, add exceptions to your antivirus software by following this article: How to set up antivirus (AV) exclusions to improve stability and performance of Autodesk software.

Cisco Secure Endpoint: Create an exclusion set in AMP test policy in to add the following exclusions:
A File Scan-process exclusion type where XXXX is the version of the software: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit XXXX\Revit.exe, for example, C:\Program Files\Autodesk\*\Revit.exe
Other exclusions:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\*
C:\Program Files\Autodesk*
C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\*
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\*
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\*

Check if Revit is fully updated.
Test saving the file to another location (on the local hard drive).
Create a Windows User Account, avoiding special characters in usernames.
Check the Windows Event log for any errors.
Use the Process Monitor to see which software (other than Revit) is accessing the path:
