When trying to start the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service, the below message appears:
Services
Windows could not start the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.
To avoid this behavior, try one of the following:
Download and install the Autodesk Licensing Update.
Run your product again.
Verify that the AdskLicensingService.data file is shown as below:
{"Addr":"127.0.0.1:63467","AutoPickFreePort":true}
If the file is empty, or not similar to the above example:
Try creating it in Notepad with the above content.
Save the file.
Run the software.
Note. Verify that the file doesn't have a hidden .txt extension.
Grant Full Control permissions to LOCAL SERVICE for the files within the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AdskLicensingService\ folder by doing:
Right-click the file and select Properties.
Go to the Security Tab.
Go on "Edit" and add LOCAL SERVICE.
In the Allow column, verify that Full Control is selected.
Note: In some cases, the group might need Everyone Full Control permissions to this folder: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AdskLicensingService\.
Go to the Windows Services by typing "services" on the Windows start button.
Change the service startup type to Automatic (Delayed Start).
Start the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service manually.
If the service starts successfully, verify that Autodesk software can be launched.
Go to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AdskLicensingService.
Create a backup for the below files:
AdskLicensingService.data.
AdskLicensingService.sds.
AdskLicensingService.sds.lock.
Remove the below files:
AdskLicensingService.data.
AdskLicensingService.sds.
AdskLicensingService.sds.lock.
Uninstall and re-install all the software installed in the system.
