"Establish an Internet Connection to Continue" when launching AutoCAD on macOS

Issue:

When starting a stand-alone Autodesk subscription product for macOS, this error message pops up:

Establish an internet Connection to Continue.

Solution:

To solve this issue, verify the following, testing the software after each:


Install the licensing updates



Make sure that there are no Proxies set in the Network System Preference

Confirm that the date and time is set correctly

  1. Click the Time clock at the top Right of the screen.
  2. Click Open Time & Date Preferences.
  3. Uncheck "Set date and Time automatically".
  4. Manually change the current time to an hour ahead.
  5. Click "Save" and close the window.
  6. Start the program - the error should be different and reference an incorrect time clock.
  7. Set the time back to normal and retest.

Confirm that the Autodesk application has the Firewall set to allow incoming connections

Reset ADUT folder

Remove all files under /User/username/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/ADUT.
