"Internal CAM kernel error. Please report through your support channel" message in Fusion 360

Issue:

When running a toolpath in Fusion 360 Manufacturing, an exclamation mark next to the operation appears and reads "Error: Internal CAM kernel error. Please report through your support channel."

Causes:

There is an incorrect setting in the operation. 

Note: This can also occur if Fusion 360 is being run on an unsupported Operating System such as Windows 7. 
Windows 7 is no longer supported by Autodesk for Fusion 360

Solution:

  1. Recreate the toolpath using the default settings in Fusion 360 (This will produce a usable toolpath without the error).
  2. Select both the old and new toolpath.
  3. Right-click the toolpaths.
  4. Select compare and edit.
  5. From there you can see the differences between the two toolpaths and isolate the variable that is causing the error.
