"The depth is invalid" or "Incremental depth is invalid" when posting drilling operations from Fusion 360

Issue:

When post processing drilling operations in Fusion 360, Inventor CAM, or HSMWorks, the following error appears:
 
Error: The depth is invalid. 
Error in operation: [operation name]

Error: Incremental depth is invalid. 
Error in operation: [operation name]

Solution:

Check the Heights tab within the drilling operation(s) in Fusion 360. If any of the following are present, change the heights levels to fix the order:
  • The top height being set to lower than the bottom height.
  • The top and bottom height of the drilling operation limiting the cut so no stock is engaged.
  • The feed height being below the top height.

Alternatively,  ensure that the top height is always set to "hole top" and the bottom height is always set to "hole bottom."
