"File not saved." error message when synchronizing Revit Cloud Model

Issue:

When synchronizing the latest changes in a Revit model, the save to local step fails with the following message:

Sync With Central

Sync with central failed. The file was not saved because one or more links failed to save.

Solution:

In order to solve this issue, follow the steps below:
  1. Close all Revit projects except the host Revit model.
  2. Go to Revit Home.
  3. Navigate to the linked Revit model.
  4. Open the linked Revit model.
  5. Synchronize the file to central and close it.
  6. Reload the linked file in Revit model.
Note: Please make sure to perform steps 2-6 with all linked Revit cloud models and that the other files linked to your host model are saved properly.
