Issue:

The Network License Manager for Flame is unable to start at boot when following documented steps and solutions.  Flame will be unable to get a license.   Is there a way to automatically start a network license server on a Macintosh?

Solution:

To start the Network license Manager on macOS using a native launcher workflow as a launcher instead of the “.profile” method, perform the following:

NOTES
  • The license server will need to be installed and configured before proceeding.
  • If the license file is not in the standard location/name, please update this path below '/usr/local/flexnetserver/adsk_server.lic' to point to your license file.
  1. Verify that the Autodesk Network License Sever is installed and launches correctly:
/usr/local/flexnetserver/lmgrd \
–c /usr/local/flexnetserver/adsk_server.lic  \
–l /usr/local/flexnetserver/adsk_server.log
  1. Create a script as a "launcher" or "helper" in Automator:
    1. Applications > Automator.
    2. Select 'New Document'.
      • Choose 'Application' as the document type.
