How do I remove, hide, or uninstall Autodesk Access?

Issue:

Is there a way to remove, hide, or uninstall Autodesk Access?

Causes:

Autodesk Access is installed with all Autodesk product installs.  Version 1 of Autodesk Access could not be uninstalled as it was part of the Autodesk Installer.

Solution:

To solve the issue, try the steps below:

Check the version of Autodesk Access:

  1. In Autodesk Access, click the Help icon in the upper right, and choose About.
  2. Choose the solution below based on the Version shown, either 1.x, or 2.x later.

To remove Version 1.x:

  1. You will need to install version 2.x to separate Autodesk Access from the Autodesk Installer.
  2. Download Version 2.x of Autodesk Access.
  3. Right-click on the installer and choose Run as administrator.
  4. Complete the installation.
  5. In Windows > Settings > Apps, find “Autodesk Access” and choose Uninstall.

To remove Version 2.x:

  • In Windows > Settings > Apps, find “Autodesk Access” and choose Uninstall.

Note: Even when Autodesk Access is uninstalled, there still may be “Access…” services running on the device that support product installations, but there will be no Access user interface.

To disable the Autodesk Access UI for your users:

  • Follow the instructions for disabling the Access UI in the Help documentation.  Depending on your goals, there are multiple settings you can configure.
