Issue:

How to check the version of a cloud project (to know what version of Revit the project will be available in)?

Solution:

Revit 2024

  1. 2024.2 or later version needed. If not already updated, see the following article for information on How to keep Revit updated.
  2. Turn on the New Revit Home
New Revit home option
  1. In the Revit Options (Cloud Model), check the box "Show projects in all Revit software versions at New Revit Home."
  2. Click OK.
  3. Now projects from all product versions will show up in Revit Home.

Revit 2023 and earlier versions

  • Project Admin
Access the Revit Cloud Model Upgrade tool:
After scanning the project for Revit cloud models, the tool will show the current release version.
  • Non Admin
  1. Access the cloud project through a browser.
  2. Download one of the Revit models from the project.
  3. Unzip the model if it downloads as a ZIP file.
  4. Open the latest version of Revit (that you have installed).
  5. Select the downloaded model, in the open dialog of Revit.
  6. Note the version listed in the preview on the right. (If the version is newer than the one you are working in, then it may say Unknown.)
