Issue:

How to define a compound joint in that way that a specific flange with a specific endtype will be used for a connection in AutoCAD® Plant 3D?

For example for a specific compound joint for specific end types for port 1 and port 2 a flange should be used for connection which has the end type FL_FEDER. How to configure this?

Solution:

Follow these steps:
  1. Open project setup and switch to the node "Plant 3D DWG Settings - Piping Connection Settings".
  2. Select the specific compound joint and click "Modify...".
  3. Click the button with the three points ("...") beneath the field "Connection Component" which is here the flange.
  4. Check "End Type". A dialog pops up.
  5. Check "Set Value" and enter "FL_FEDER".
  6. Close all with Ok.
