Issue:

How to install and setup content center libraries to work with Vault.

How can the Inventor remote content center libraries be downloaded and installed? These libraries are for standard parts such as ANSI/ISO fasteners.

Causes:

After upgrading Vault standard content center libraries may be missing within Inventor.

Solution:

Install the libraries on Vault server:

  1. Review the Vault Content Center Libraries help page.

  2. Review the Install, Add, and Remove Content Center Libraries page.

  3. Download the Where to find Inventor Remote Content Center Libraries for Vault 2024 and later.

  4. Follow the instructions in the installer Readme file.

To manually attach the libraries without using the batch file use these steps on the server console:

  1. Extract the zip contents to put the content libraries on the disk.

  2. In the ADMS console under libraries right click and select attach library.

  3. Select the content center library extracted in step 1 by default it goes into the folder C:\Autodesk\ContentLibrary2025\<library name>.

  4. Also see: How to attach libraries in ADMS.
