How to start an AutoCAD Product without any plug-ins or add-ons

This article describes how to prevent plug-ins or add-ons from loading when starting AutoCAD.

Try any of the following:

Set the APPAUTOLOAD variable to 0 or 1 and start AutoCAD.

If the previous method does not work, test adding the /safemode switch to a shortcut by doing the following:

Create a copy of the AutoCAD Product shortcut, for example on the desktop.
Right-click it and select Properties.
Go to the Shortcut tab.
In the Target box, type /safemode after the existing text (see About Customizing Startup).
Click OK.
Double-click on the shortcut to start the software.
