Issue:

Is it possible to link Revit Cloud models between two different projects (or accounts) on BIM 360 / ACC and have the link remain as a live cloud model?

Causes:

The normal linking method is restricted to files within the same BIM 360 project.

Solution:

Revit Cloud Models

  • Autodesk Docs

With Revit 2023.1.x and later versions the Bridge feature part of Autodesk Build allows you to link Revit cloud models from a bridged cloud project.

  • BIM 360 Document Management
    • There is no supported workflow to allow the linking of Revit cloud models across different BIM 360 projects in a manner that allows the linked models to remain live cloud models.

    • The models can be downloaded and then reinitiated as cloud models to link within one project.

Desktop Connector

Desktop Connector allows linking to the published version of Revit files (and the more common usage of linking to non-Revit files).

Revit Product Family; BIM 360; Desktop Connector;
