How to turn off worksets when opening Revit models

Issue:

How to open workshared Revit model with worksets turned off

Causes:

  • Improve performance.
  • Troubleshoot errors when opening the model.

Solution:

Identify Worksharing Type

If not sure of the worksharing type, see the following article for information on How to identify Revit worksharing type
 

Turn Off Workets

Access the worksets dialog using the following options (based on the worksharing type):

  • File-Based / Revit Server:

Click the drop-down next to the open button.

  • Cloud:

  1. Click the three dots to the right of the model name from Revit Home.

  1. Click Specify.
  2. Select all worksets (Ctrl + A).
  3. Click Close.
