Hybrid power settings impact on Autodesk 2020 product licensing

Issue:

Windows systems that wake up from Hibernate mode or have Hybrid Sleep enabled, can cause the following issues with Autodesk 2020 software versions:

The Task Manager shows multiple Autodesk processes (AdskLicensingAgent) that don't go away even when you close the program.
For networks, the additional processes continue to hold a seat from the license server even after the product is closed.
You see multiple copies of your license in the License Manager.
You are forced to save your work and close the application.
The software goes into Viewer Mode
The software freezes.

Environment:

Windows systems with Hybrid Sleep or Hibernate mode enabled and Autodesk products running with license version 9.0.1.1462.

To see what version you are running, open version.ini in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing.

Solution:

Download and install the Autodesk Licensing Service installer .

Close all Autodesk products.
Download the Autodesk Licensing Service Update for 2020 and newer product versions .
Right-click the AdskLicensing-installer.exe and go to the General Tab under Properties.

Important: If you see a Security section at the bottom of the window (as shown in the screenshot below), select Unblock.
Click OK to close the window.
Double-click the .exe file to start the installation.
When the installation completes, restart your computer.

Note: If you get an error while installing, restart your computer and run the installer again.
