Is Vault server supported to be installed on a Microsoft Windows Active Directory domain controller?'

Autodesk does not support installing the Vault Server on a Microsoft Windows domain controller for the following reasons.

Vault Server installation requires a Windows impersonation account which by default is a local Windows user account. Windows Server configured as domain controllers do not allow for the creation of local Windows user accounts. Only domain user accounts can be created on domain controllers. A domain user account must be made before installing the Vault Server and used in the configuration page in the server installation.
For troubleshooting requirements technical support might ask for a server reboot or an uninstall and reinstall of Vault components like SQL, .NET and IIS which could cause problems such as an interruption in enterprise-wide logins.
