Issue:

Latest changes made to a linked cloud model are not displayed in the host model in Revit, even after synchronizing and reloading the linked model.

Causes:

Models were linked through the Desktop Connector.

Solution:

Desktop Connector

Cloud models linked through the Desktop Connector are only updated when the latest version of the model is Published.

External Resource

  • Live links: Cloud models linked through 'External Resource' to the live model will show changes to the links (when reopening the host model, or manually reloading links).

  • Indirect links: Cloud models linked through 'External Resource' using the Shared or Consumed folders will not show changes until the cloud model is published and a new package is created/shared/consumed through Design Collaboration. For more details on this workflow, see the article Understanding Revit Model Linking in BIM 360 Design
