Models stored on Revit Server are very slow to open

Issue:

Users reported that opening models and loading links stored on Revit Server takes too much time, despite a very good internet connection.

Environment:

Revit Server Host installed on cloud storage service and Accelerator located on the local network.

Status:

Investigation of the incident is complete and a resolution has not been determined at this time.

Additional Information:

The investigation into this behaviour determined that it was related to the environment in which the Revit Server Host was installed.

Revit Server was designed to support worksharing of central models across a wide area network (WAN).
Optimal performance cannot be guaranteed in other environments.
