How to: Modify a Vault project file

Issue:

You want to modify an Autodesk® Inventor™ project file that is stored in Vault. Old Content Center libraries that you are trying to connect to are no longer shown in the original project file or are displayed as RED. Also the need to edit the paths to point to new locations. If the project file is vaulted is cannot be edited.

To edit a project file that is stored in Vault

  1. Open a part from the defined local workspace.
  2. Check out the project file from the Vault browser.
  3. Close the part (all files must be closed to modify the project file).
  4. Edit the project file as needed. 
  5. Open the part.
  6. Check the project back into Vault.
