Issue:

A multi-axis toolpath is out of position on a Haas Mill when created in Fusion 360.
The simulation looks correct and the rotations move as expected on the machine tool, but the Z axis is incorrect, resulting in the tool cutting too high or too low.

Causes:

The machine tool is not equipped or fitted with Dynamic Work Offsets (DWO) and the toolpath setup is not on the center of rotation.

Solution:

To correct the output, do the following:
  • Move the Setup to the machine tools center of rotation.
