Issue:

Fusion Service Utility is a minimal loading of Fusion that is likely to start when the full application fails to start.  

Service Utility offers several tools that can help to resolve start failure issues with Autodesk Fusion.

Solution:

The Fusion Service Utility is invoked:  
  • Automatically when two consecutive start failures are detected. 
  • Manually by holding Ctrl + SHIFT (Windows) or Command + SHIFT (macOS) before launching Fusion, then start Fusion until service utility shows up.

Reset Fusion 

Command deletes sign in credentials and locally cached files (application related and user design data) that can be replenished from the cloud, upon restarting Fusion.  

When should I use this option? This will help with resolving general issues related to Fusion failing to start.

Start Fusion 

Command will attempt to start Fusion again.  

 

Repair Fusion 

Repair command performs a lightweight deletion of locally cached files and then reruns install. 

When should I use this option? This will help with resolving issues related to corrupt installations (for example, missing DLL warnings) or difficulties with updating Fusion.

Gather System Info 

A command for application, installation, and web service log files as well as a system information from your computer. 

When should I use this option? When submitting a request for help this will help reduce iterations and improve efficiencies.

How to manually collect the log files for Autodesk Fusion

Network Diagnostic Test 

Performs a network check for key domains used by Fusion application. 

When should I use this option? If Fusion is failing to start because of network connection issues, this will give more details about network connection availability.
