Point clouds linked from Desktop Connector are not found in Revit

Issue:

  • Point clouds linked from Desktop Connector reload when opening Revit project on the workstation where where the link was made.
  • For other team members the same clouds report "Not Found' despite required access to the Autodesk Docs folders.

RCP linked files are Not Found in Revit

  • Revit may crash upon opening while loading the linked files.

Causes:

Point clouds are not supported for linking in Revit through the Desktop Connector.

Note: Point clouds linked through Desktop Connector may require manual syncing to the current workstation to load correctly in Revit.
