Issue:

What are the options to recover BIM 360 and ACC cloud workshared models after a crash? Options to recover might be needed if:
  • Model was deleted or a previous version needs to be used.
  • The model is corrupted or publishing on BIM 360 or ACC fails.

Solution:

Opening model with worksets closed

If there is a problem in opening a cloud model, before trying to recover a prior version, try opening the model with worksets turned off:

  1. Go to the Revit home page, and find the cloud model.
  2. Click the ”…” in the last column (gear icon) to the right of the cloud model name.
  3. Select “Specify”
  4. In the Worksets dialog, select all worksets (Ctrl + A), and click Close.
  5. Click OK.

If the model opens with worksets turned off, go back to the Worksets dialog and turn worksets back on.

Pay careful attention to worksets containing linked models.
If you find an error when reloading a workset containing a linked model, open the link and check for errors within the link.

Recovering Cloud models

There are at least three ways to recover a cloud model:

  • Restore previously saved versions - This option will maintain the cloud versions from before the point that the model is restored to.
  • Recently published models
  • Re-initiate a recovered local file
