Autodesk product installation fails with Install method

Issue:

When installing Autodesk products through Autodesk accounts portal (Install method) the install fails downloading or pulls up the web browser. After the installation attempt, a red "X" will be displayed next to the failed components.

Installation incomplete

Causes:

There was a communication failure during the download of the installer.

Solution:

To resolve this issue, perform the installation with one of the alternative download methods. Make sure that the download is successful before starting the installation:

  • Perform the installation with an alternative download method: Download or Custom Install. Make sure that the download is successful before starting the installation.

Once the Revit installation package has been downloaded, follow the Recommended installation workflow for Autodesk software products.



Note: You can choose a method from the Products and Services section of Autodesk Account depending on the requirement. 
You can change your default download method from "Install", "Download", or "Custom Install" by clicking the view all menu beneath the "Install" button on the Autodesk accounts portal.
