Issue:

"This operation cannot be completed" appears when opening a cloud workshared model in Revit and the model crashes.

Journal lines include:
DBG_WARN: Could not get AllProjectPhases: line 330 of d:\r2\2017_px64\source\revit\revitdb\phases\ProjectPhases.cpp.

DBG_WARN: The id does not represent a valid phase.

Causes:

Phases are missing from one of the linked models.

Solution:

Use Transfer Project Standards to transfer the default phases from a blank project to the affected link:

1. Open the linked model
2. In Manage > Phases, verify that there are no phases listed in Project Phases
3. In the same Revit session, open a blank architectural model.
4. Go back to the linked model and click Manage > Transfer Project Standards.
5. Click Check None, and then check Project Phases > OK
6. Now you should see Existing and New Construction phases listed in Manage > Phases in the linked model.
7. Sync with central.
8. If anyone has the host model open, they should reload this link (a fresh copy of the link will be loaded when users open the host model after the fixed link has been synced).
