Issue:

  • Slow performance or lag while navigating through the NWD/NWC/NWF file in Navisworks.
  • The model geometry may appear to flicker or flash as users navigate.
  • Elements of the model seam reloading with every camera position change.
  • The behavior intensifies with more elements in the model.
  • The behavior of the same model is different on different workstations.
  • Image, graphics stutters, movements not smooth/fluent and with delay.
  • The same model performs better in Navisworks 2023 or older.

Solution:

To resolve the behavior:

  1. Click the Navisworks icon on the top left of the screen.
  2. Hold the Shift key when clicking Options. (This reveals the Navisworks hidden Options.)
  3. Click Interface > Display > Autodesk.
  4. Disable the static_buffers option.
