"Sorry, Fusion was unable to save sufficient data for offline mode" when starting Autodesk Fusion

Issue:

When attempting to start Autodesk Fusion, the following notification is displayed:

  • "Sorry, Fusion was unable to save sufficient data for offline mode and needs to go online. Please make sure you have a working Internet connection to continue."

When connecting to the Internet, another notification may be displayed:

  • "Cannot switch to online mode either. Please check your Internet connection. Application will exit now."

    Causes:

    Fusion can work in offline mode for up to two weeks before an Internet connection is needed to validate the license and sync projects. This message may occur if offline mode has been enabled for too long. 

    Solution:

      Clear the local cache and offline case

      1. Start the Fusion Service Utility
      2. Run the Reset function and leave the following options unchecked (Keep offline user data, Keep user credentials)

      Select 'Yes, Proceed' after checking or unchecking the desired options   

      Update operating system and Fusion

      Recent Email change

      If the issue occurred after a recent email change. 

      1. Restore the original email address: How to change your email address for Autodesk Cloud Products.
      2. Contact the Customer Support team: Contact Support.
