"The required connection to Autodesk for license validation could not be established" on the Let's Get Started screen when launching an Autodesk software

Issue:

Users reported that upon launching an Autodesk software, on the Let's Get Started screen, the option to sign in with your Autodesk Account is missing. The following error message is shown:


The required connection to Autodesk for license validation could not be established, blocking the named user licensing workflows. Check your Internet settings of click here to know more.

Environment:

Proxy-secured environment.

Causes:

  • Proxy filtering the connection.
  • HTTPS/SSL Inspection.
  • Conflicting security software or services.

Solution:

Install pending licensing service updates 

Note: Consult with your System/Network Administrator to perform the following steps:

HTTPS/SSL Inspection

Make sure no HTTPS/SSL Inspection is performed for the domains *.autodesk.com.


Conflicting security software or services

  1. Check if any of the Autodesk Licensing Service: Known Conflicting Applications are installed.
  2. Test by disabling or uninstalling the security software or service. 
  3. Restart the computer.
  4. Verify if the issue is resolved.
