Issue:

How the export/import AutoCAD settings utilities will work when used between different operating systems, such as going from Windows XP to Windows 7 or from a 32-bit system to 64-bit.

Solution:

Transferring settings will work correctly between different Windows systems. Any combination of 32- and 64-bit can be used. The system architecture does not matter. However, it is not possible to transfer AutoCAD settings from a Windows system to a Macintosh computer and vice versa.

To help ensure that the import process works correctly, it is recommended to temporarily turn off antivirus software and adjust User Account Control settings to "Never notify" while running the import settings tool.

Please note that migrating settings from an older version of AutoCAD to a newer one only works on the same computer.
