Issue:

AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD LT for Mac cannot be installed. When launching the installation package either nothing happens, or a crash report error message appears.

Causes:

Corrupted profile, profile with limited installation permissions, or third-party conflict.
Hardware or Operating System (OS) is incompatible.
Corrupted remnant files from a previous installation.

Solution:

Corrupted profile, profile with limited installation permissions, or third-party conflict

Try starting the Mac in Safe Mode. In some cases, this issue can be caused by third-party fonts which safe mode will disable.
Scan your mac for malwares, e.g. using a third-party anti-malware application.
Create a new admin account (see Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support) and install the software from there.

Hardware or Operating System (OS) is incompatible

Check for system compatibility to see if the software can be installed on that particular OS version.

Corrupted remnant files from a previous installation

Perform a clean uninstall (see: Clean uninstall of Autodesk programs on a Mac) then reinstall the software.
