Issue:

What is included in a Vault Backup? Will configuration and files be saved in the Vault backup process?

Solution:

The Vault Backup includes:

  • Vault databases which include the configuration in Vault such as lifecycles and permissions
  • KnowledgeVaultMaster which includes all the server configuration information and user IDs
  • Filestore - a copy of every file ever checked in to Vault

 

The Vault Backup structure is

  1. Folder databases with all database
  2. Folder FileStores with all the FileStores files.
  3. BackupContents.xml
  4. BackupHistory.txt
