When trying to copy a drawing into the project, it fails in AutoCAD Plant 3D

Issue:

When trying to copy a drawing into the an AutoCAD Plant 3D project, it fails and the drawing is not added.

Causes:

Corrupt database entry or corrupt drawing.

Solution:

Follow these steps:

  1. Close AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  2. Open Windows Explorer and switch to the program folder of AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  3. Double-click PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe and click "Purge".
  4. Start AutoCAD Plant 3D and open the project.
  5. Select from context menu of the project in the Project Manager the command "Audit Project".
If this solution doesn’t resolve the issue, then follow this:
  1. In AutoCAD Plant 3D create a new drawing via Project Manager.
  2. Use command OPEN and open the affected drawing.
  3. Select all (Ctrl+A), make a clipboard copy (Ctrl+C).
  4. Open the new drawing you created earlier and paste the clipboard.
  5. Save the new drawing.
  6. Close the old drawing.
  7. Close and reopen and select from context menu of the project in the Project Manager "Audit Project".
  8. Open the new drawing and run command PLANTAUDIT and AUDIT.
