Linking a cloud model (BIM 360 / Autodesk Docs) the folder loops back to project directory in Revit

Issue:

Users reported that when trying to browse to a cloud model for linking:
  • The selection loops back to the project directory (or Autodesk Docs).
  • Multiple members are not able to link RVT files via External Resources in Revit.
  • When having Revit files already linked to the project, the message "Failed to open document" may appear.

Status:

This incident is being investigated for a possible cause and resolution.

Additional Information:

The Cloud account or Project name contains a slash ("/") character.
Note: If the issue suddenly appeared the name of the Project/Account may have been changed over time.

Workaround:

Remove "/ "

Rename the folder, project, or account to remove the slash character.
