Issue:

When meshing the mold regions in a Cool(FEM) Moldflow analysis:
  • 3D hot runner is not recognized by mold external mesh, and intersect with external mold triangles.
  • Beam based 3D hot runner is recognized

Causes:

3D based elements must be fully contained in the mold region.

Solution:

Define a larger mold region so the 3D hot runner fits inside completely.
