To install updates, open the Autodesk desktop app and click My Updates. To install a new version of your Autodesk software, open the Autodesk desktop app, sign in, and click My Products. To use a web browser to install updates or a new version, sign in to Autodesk Account. (Your access to new versions or updates depends on your Autodesk software entitlements.)

Workaround:

2024.3 Update Process

  1. Everyone sync with central.

  2. Delete local files (for cloud models new locals are created automatically, so no need to delete manually, but if you are prompted about unsynched changes this would indicate step 1 was not completed, at that point changes should be discarded).

  3. Everyone update to 2024.3.

  4. Update Unifi add-on (if available).

  5. One user (with Revit and Unifi updates) will cut a new local (Unifi will replace the schemas as necessary and borrow families.

  6. This user will sync to central and relinquish the families.

  7. Do step 5 and 6 for each linked file.

  8. Everyone restart Revit and create new locals as normal.

  9. If the error continues after going through the update process, uninstall the Content Catalog (or Unifi) add-in and retest.

Move back to 2024.2.2

  1. Everyone sync with central.

  2. Delete local files (for cloud models new locals are created automatically, so no need to delete manually, but if you are prompted about unsynched changes this would indicate step 1 was not completed, at that point changes should be discarded).

  3. Everyone with 2024.3:

    1. Uninstall Revit.

    2. Install earlier version of Revit 2024.

    3. If you don’t have installer, you can download from here.

      1. Before downloading, click "Revit 2024.3 Update" underneath Install button, and select 2024.1.1 version to download.

Click link to specify the version to download

      1. Also, here is a link for Revit_2024_2_2.exe update.

  1. Launch Revit and create new locals as normal.

Note: By not working in the 2024.3 build schema conflicts could be introduced into the model if users working in builds prior to 2024.1.1 interact with the model.
