Issue:

Assembly components are set to transparent from model browser but after rendering is completed part remains solid.

Causes:

The transparency setting with the assembly model browser is just for visualization purposes within the window. The rendering honors the component's appearance settings.

Solution:

Create an Appearance with Transparency enabled
Set the components to this with an appearance override
