Issue:

How to change the location for the Connector Class files in Inventor Factory. How to set up Connector Class with Vault

Solution:

Configuration Connector Class folder for single user Inventor project file

  • The default location of the Connector Classes folder where Inventor Factory will look for the files is:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Factory Design(version)\FactoryLibrary

  • Inventor will look also to the Library folder of the asset declared into the Inventor Project file:
The file name needs to be set to "ConnectorClasses"

  1. Add the folder with the name: "ConnectorClasses".
  2. Place all Connector Classes files.

Note:
When you will create an asset and use the Connector Classes file, Inventor will always take the latest version of the ConnectorClasses file from Vault. (You need to be logged in to Vault)
Example (where on Vault we can see two versions of the one file):
If on your PC locally you have updated (not registered to Vault as a new version) or previous (v1) version of the Connector Classes file, Inventor will override this file by the latest version (v2) that is on the Vault.
