How to create a parametric offset finishing toolpath in PowerMill

Solution:

To create a parametric offset finishing toolpath:
 
  1. From the Explorer create a new Pattern.
  2. Open Curve edit and choose the first edge from the surfaces.
  3. Create a pattern using curve Composite.
  4. Click Accept.
  5. Repeat the same steps by selecting the second edge from the surfaces.
  6. From the Ribbon Area select Toolpath.
  7. In Strategy selector choose Finishing->Parametric Offset Finishing.
  8. Click Ok.
  9. In the toolpath properties select Tool.
  10. In Parametric Offset Finishing select Start Curve and End Curve.
  11. Set the Offset direction.
  12. Set Limiting method.
  13. Set the other values.
  14. Click Calculate.
